Diogenes Eli Casas Samper is a researcher and academic based at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where he holds faculty roles across both the QUT Business School and the School of Law. His work explores the intersection of sustainability, governance, and emerging technologies, with a focus on artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital infrastructure.
Diogenes holds a PhD in Business and Law, with his doctoral research centred on improving transparency and accountability in carbon markets through the use of distributed technologies and AI-driven systems. He also holds a Master of Philosophy in Social and Behavioural Sciences, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and a Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication.
In addition to his academic work, he is the Co-founder and CEO of AtlaSynk, a company developing tools to scale verifiable climate action through responsive data systems. AtlaSynk supports ESG reporting, carbon credit traceability, and digital measurement, reporting, and verification (dMRV) frameworks, with pilot initiatives in Colombia and Australia.
Diogenes has held research and consulting positions in academic, government, and startup sectors. He has contributed to national and international policy research, served as a Senior Research Assistant on sustainability and digital twin infrastructure, and worked with multidisciplinary teams on projects involving environmental markets, AI governance, and the digital transformation of sustainability reporting.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is interested in collaborative work that links research, policy, and business application.
